The 2019 Annual Leadership Breakfast was held May 3, 2019, discussing the state of Family Violence with Collin County law enforcement, social services and other non-profit organizations.
Elyssa Schroeder from Texas Council on Family Violence is presented on the current landscape of available services and needs of family violence survivors in the State as learned in their recent Texas State Plan. The State Plan is a funding blueprint that used data, survivor interviews, and focus groups throughout the state to get an extensive picture of the realities throughout Texas. They spoke to survivors that were receiving services at family violence programs and also survivors who had never accessed services. Data specific to Collin County and surrounding area will be included.
